Breast reconstruction
With its own tissues, implants or a combination of both
Breast reconstruction is most often used after an oncology condition. My personal opinion is that plastic surgeons and the state are in debt to these patients because the breast trauma is serious. I consider normal Breast Reconstruction to be assigned to medical evidence.
Unfortunately, operating breast reconstruction costs are often not in the hands of patients who most need to regain their feminine self-esteem. Thanks to the surgical methods for breast reconstruction, women who have mastectomy – a breast removal operation, most often as a result of diagnosed cancer, quickly recover the psychological consequences of the disease and regain their desire for intimate and professional life.
On the other hand, it is advisable to make a breast reconstruction when the woman is emotionally stable and can make that decision with the consciousness that she affirms her femininity and beauty.
Although the restored breast can not have the previous sensitivity and there will be visible signs, the breast reconstruction surgery should be included in state programs to treat the consequences of breast cancer.
Breast reconstruction can also be done for aesthetic reasons when there is a visible asymmetry that creates a discomfort for the woman. When only one breast reconstruction is performed, it is advisable to combine the operation with lifting, reducing or enlarging the natural breast in order to achieve maximum symmetry.
Complete breast reconstruction usually takes longer, as operations are multi-stage. The procedure is performed with own tissues, implants or a combination of both. During the consultation, it is specified which type of breast reconstruction surgery is appropriate for the patient and whether it will be necessary to use their own tissue. Donor tissue is most often taken from the back, abdomen or the back of the head.
Very often the area of the breast is damaged by radiotherapy. This requires lipophilisation to be prepared for follow-up operations. The first stage in breast reconstruction is to form the bed with an expander (silicone balloon). During this period the expander was inflated.
The method of tissue expansion gradually builds a healthy tissue that is a good foundation for prosthesis. The process takes time because it is related to natural processes in the body that have their own rhythm. In the second stage of the surgical reconstruction of the breast a prosthesis (implant) is placed, which maintains the volume. There is a period in which it is good for the body to adapt to this change. When the molding process is completed, a grain and an aerosol are formed.
As with other breast surgery, a maintenance bra must be carried around the clock during the recovery period.
The specificity of surgical intervention for breast reconstruction and prolonged recovery period require patience and more serious care because, ultimately, the good news is that the aesthetic shape of the breast is sustained and the scars fade away.
From this intervention, it always makes sense to feel a person full of a disease or another type of trauma that has caused the surgery.
