Dr. Mihail Skerlev is a specialist in plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. In 2001 he founded and runs Medical Center for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery “Galateia” in Sofia.

He makes consultations and aesthetic and plastic procedures in his hometown of Varna, at least once a week on weekends. He graduated from the University of Medicine in Varna in 1984. In 1987 he participated in the establishment of the Burns and Plastic Surgery Clinic at the Naval Hospital where he worked as a surgeon until his departure in South Africa in 1991.

In South Africa, she specialized in plastic surgery under Professor Skoltz at the Menduza University, near Pretoria. For seven years, practicing his profession there, he has been involved in over 1,500 operations, including the division of Siamese twins who have grown in the head.

At the University Hospital “Garant” he was mainly involved in reconstructive surgery and burns. The First Military Hospital in Pretoria has assisted many cosmetic surgeries.
Because of his specialization and practice in South Africa, he formed as a plastic surgeon there and under the influence of the Anglo-American School: “My foundation as a plastic surgeon is given in South Africa, and for that reason I think very postulate – , that – so. My training and practice has gone into a school where you have a postulate within which you can vary.

This, of course, does not limit me, but on the contrary – it makes me maintain my professional qualification at a level. All new methods are published in English, all congresses are held in this language. I participate in at least two congresses or conferences a year in order to keep pace with the new trends in plastic surgery and to be able to give my patients high-quality medical services. “
In 1998 he returned to Bulgaria and gained a degree in General Surgery. The next two years she specialized in the Clinic of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the Alexandrovska Hospital with Assoc. Prof. Dimitar Evstatiev and Assoc. Prof. Penka Tepavicharova.

He gained a degree in plastic reconstruction and aesthetic surgery in 2000. He then founded and manages the Medical Center for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery “Galateia” in Sofia.

Since 2013, Dr. Skerlev has also been the head of the surgical ward at the “Health 2012” Hospital, Sofia.

Dr. Mihail Skerlev is a member of the Bulgarian, Balkan and International Association of Plastic Restorative and Aesthetic Surgery. One of the first Bulgarian specialists, accepted in the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

From 2004 to 2012 he was the first national secretary for Bulgaria at the World Association of Aesthetic Surgeons. (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery).
Dr. Mihail Skerlev is an active member of the Bulgarian Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, a member of the Management Office and secretary of organizational issues of BAPREH.
